WebSep 22, 2005 · The Speedplay cleats will work with any 3-hole Look compatable shoe. Any shoe made in the last ten years (or more) will have this 3-hole pattern. The Speedplay cleat has two parts. A platform which bolts to the 3-hole pattern of the shoe. The second part is fastened to this platform with four Speedplay screws. WebSpeedplay Frog – As with their road pedals, Speedplay have incorporated the spring mechanism within the cleat rather than on the pedal. They have a good reputation for durability and plenty of float, but the cleats are larger than most and some shoes may require slight modification to the tread to fit the cleats.
