You need to plug the vacuum fitting on the top of the carb that goes to the petcock is all. The VOES will be inop then. Maybe just run the carb vac. hose to the VOES and plug the other end. OR just run a new hose from the carb to the VOES.

Take all wiring connections used for MM and tuck under tank or remove. Leave Head Temp connection intact. When the fuel comes below the top of the tube, the engine runs out of fuel and you have to switch the lever so that fuel is taken in from the lower inlet.
