I shot 10-15 shots out of my CTR 260 barrel in local club matches in under 2 minutes and it was under 1 moa. I have a lite contour from McGowen in 6 Creed for coyote calling. Very accurate, but the most I have shot on one stand is 3-5 shots in 2-5 minutes.
Web18 jul. 2011 · With a good smith, they are fully capable of extreme accuracy. My #4 on a .280 AI shoots as well as most heavy precision rifles. The #17 (Rem Varm contour) finished at 26" on a 6mm AI is really starting to shine, shooting in the .2s and .3s now. My #7 6.5-284 barrel has recorded some .1s and averages in the .3s. I've put 6 McGowen barrels on rifles and they have all been good shooters. Or at least as expected. Not all of these were precision firearms. They are one of the easiest companies to deal with when it comes to custom contours.
